Governor Mitt Romney in Las Vegas

I had the fortune to participate in Governor Mitt Romney’s National Call Day in Las Vegas, NV, May 16, 2011.  The event itself was designed for friends and supporters of Governor Romney to make calls on his behalf and raise money for his coming Presidential run.  I served as a volunteer to help run the event.  The event raised $10.25 million in five hours.  That is possibly a political record and is certainly a substantial addition to his war chest.

Afterwards he held a meeting with several students from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and discussed their concerns about the economy and job prospects.  He listened attentively and offered words of encouragement to them.

Afterwards he spoke to the media  about several issues including the economy, healthcare, financial reform, and the future of the Republican Party.  Here is the video of his remarks and pictures are included below the break:
